It has been announced that the WSM 1999 competition will be held between September 4th and September 20th in Malta. There will be 5 heats of 6 men this year, in contrast to last year's 10 heats of 4 men each. As it stands, the Americans to be invited are Phil Pfister, Mark Philippi, Ken Brown, and Bryan Neese.
