of the exploits of the strongest men in the world has
unfolded on the college campus of Bowling Green State
University. Our group has blossomed from a mere four
to an exstatic dozen plus. We visit the WSM homepage on
a regular basis and are entranced by the powerful charisma
of the one and only Jon Pall Sigmarsson!!! Jon Pall, although
sadly gone to Valhala, has become a virtual idol amongst us all.
Hearing the cry, "I'm a viking" echoing throughout the hallway is
commmonplace and we all have found room in our hearts for the
Icelandic dynamo. We eagerly await a more regular broadcast of
the World's Strongest Man Competition and are life long fans.

I'm an Olympic Lifter myself so I personally think Andrey Chemerkin (world record clean & jerk 262.5Kg / 577Lbs.) and/or Ronny Weller are probably the world's strongest man/men but I guess that would be comparing apples and oranges. I can't believe this years WSM competition didn't have the favorites competing in the finals. Surely Magnus, Gerrit and Kiri all couldn't have lost that much strength in a year. I agree with Magnus in thinking that the former champion should get a bye into the finals. It really reflects poorly on the credibility of the sport when this kind of situation happens. Anyway, I think the sites great and am looking forward to future events where I'm sure Magnus will regain his crown.
