Wout Zijlstra has been competing in strongman
contests since he was 22 years old. He currently
works as a meat inspector when he is not
competing in strongman. He finished 3rd in the
1998 WSM in his first appearance in the contest.
He also was part of the Netherlands' winning team
in the 1998 World's Strongest Team contest and
currently holds the world record for the 56 lb.
