- Personal Info: Riku is one of a number of Finnish competitors to emerge in the
WSM competition in recent years. He has come extremely close to winning WSM three times is definitely
one of the best strong men competing today. In 1996, he won every competition he entered until the WSM competition when he placed second with an injury.
Injuries plagued him again, as he had to drop out of WSM 1998 with a hamstring problem. Once again, a great disappointment for a strongman with so much
ability and such a good chance of taking the title.
Riku has been training since the age of seven, and he now has a wife named Elisabeth.
