"But this is just one battle. Now I've got to win the war."
"Hjalti Arnason, the Icelander, says 'If you lift the big log, you will never have to work again in the coal mine.' So, he says, when you lift it, you shout, 'Never, never, never again!' So, when I looked, I found Hjalti and shouted, 'Never again!' But... I'll probably go back there in two weeks now.
"It's nothing. The more pain I get, the more I like it."
"When you've got 23 stones coming down on your kneecaps... you know, I want to go away from here and train next year. I want to be able to walk for the rest of my life. I just don't want to smash my knees up."
"All the hard work's paid off."
