  • Personal Info: Arguably the greatest strong man that ever lived, Magnus won the competition and was named World's Strongest Man in 1991, 1994, 1995, and 1996, becoming the second man (after Bill Kazmaier of the U.S.) to win three years in a row and the second (after fellow Icelander Jon Pall Sigmarsson) to win 4 times. Magnus began powerlifting in 1984 and won Senior titles in Europe in 1989 and 90. He won the World Muscle Power Championship in 1995.
    Magnus is currently traveling the world and performing various demonstrations and making numerous appearances. He has put up his own website at http://www.xnet.is/magnusver/ and though he may not compete in any more heavy competitions, he is still very involved with the sport of strongman through the IFSA.
